Hi, I’m Derek Chung—a tattoo artist based in Orange County, CA. I’m currently taking clients by appointment only at Black Rose Tattoo in Anaheim.

I’ve been tattooing for over 13 years, and my heart is in large-scale Japanese and Asian-influenced work -  koi, dragons, tigers, phoenixes, samurai, peony flowers, lotus, etc.. Pieces that move with your body and still look right decades from now.

​

Everything I do starts with a conversation. Tell me your idea, and I’ll design something made just for you. I also work in other styles and love a good cover-up, so if you’ve got an old tattoo you’ve outgrown or an idea you’re not sure fits anywhere, bring it to me anyway.
